STRICT HOT TUB RULES:
– Use of the hot tub is not allowed during quiet hours of 10 PM – 7 AM, as legally mandated by the City of San Diego (City of San Diego Municipal Code, Section 59.5.04). The City of San Diego strictly enforces quiet hours in residential neighborhoods. Sound echoes and carries easily in the backyard (especially laughter, music, and conversation), and our neighbors live in their homes full time. Noise complaints can lead to serious consequences, including immediate cancellation of your reservation without refund (yes, even in the middle of the night); and fines and penalties from the City of San Diego. We want your stay to be relaxing and stress-free, so thank you for only using the hot tub and outdoor spaces between 7 AM – 10 PM!
– Everyone must shower before entering the hot tub to rinse off all sunscreen, tanning oils and lotions, other body lotions and creams, and sand/dirt. These substances damage the water quality and filtration system.
– No food, drinks, or glass in the hot tub. Accidents and spills are costly and difficult to clean.
– No children under the age of 12 in the hot tub at any time.
– The hot tub cover must be closed whenever the hot tub is not in use.
– Turn off jets after each use.
– Use the hot tub at your own risk. Guests are responsible for their own safety while using the hot tub. Please use common sense and caution — we are not liable for any injuries or accidents.
While we trust our guests to be respectful and responsible, failure to follow the hot tub rules may result in additional charges, including:
– A minimum $1,000 fee for draining, cleaning, and refilling the hot tub if it’s contaminated with lotions, sand, beverages, or other debris.
– Financial and legal responsibility for any noise complaints during quiet hours.

EARLY CHECK-IN REQUESTS with LaJolla with Pam
Please note our cleaners take the full 5 hours (11 AM – 4 PM) to clean this home, as the home is 2,700 sq ft with 4 bedrooms (and 5 beds to change), 3 full bathrooms, 2 living areas, 1 dining room, 1 full kitchen, garage, and outdoor spaces. While we try our best to accommodate early check-in when possible, we are unable to guarantee early check-in or late check-out.

PARKING
This house was built in the 1940s, and many features and aspects of the home are from the 1940s, including the driveway. The driveway is very steep and narrow. Please do not park on the driveway. We recommend street parking. If you choose to park on the driveway, you do so at your own risk. We are currently working through the city permitting process to help level the driveway to make it more accessible, but in the meantime, there is plenty of street parking.

AC
The AC is locked between 69 – 80. Anything lower than 69 and the HVAC unit may freeze. This home was built in the 1940s and it is two levels. Heat rises, so the top level of the house does not cool as much as the first level. The HVAC unit is located in the front of the house, so the rooms on the first floor at the front of the house stay cooler than the back of the house.
