La Jolla Shores Beachfront Bliss
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all short-term vacation rental bookings made directly through this website for La Jolla Shores Beachfront Bliss (the “Property”). By completing a booking, checking the box indicating acceptance of these Terms, and/or submitting payment, the individual making the reservation (“Guest,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, which together with the booking confirmation constitute a binding rental agreement between Guest and La Jolla With Pam (“Host”).
Acceptance of Terms
Before completing a booking on this website, Guest must review these Terms and affirmatively accept them by checking the "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" box at checkout. Acceptance is required in order to complete a reservation. Guest's electronic acceptance has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
The Property
Host rents the Property described above to Guest for the check-in and check-out dates selected and confirmed at the time of booking (the "Rental Term"). The number of nights, dates, and confirmed rate are as shown on Guest's booking confirmation.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 4:00 PM Pacific Time on the confirmed arrival date. Check-out time is 11:00 AM Pacific Time on the confirmed departure date. Early check-in or late check-out is not guaranteed and, if available, may be arranged in advance with Host and may incur an additional fee.
Rates, Fees, and Payment
The total cost of a reservation is calculated based on the nightly rental rate(s) in effect for the selected dates, the cleaning fee described in Section 14, security deposit described in Section 15, and the Transient Occupancy Tax described in Section 10, all of which are itemized for Guest's review at checkout before payment is submitted.
Occupancy Limits
The maximum number of guests permitted to occupy the Property at any time, including children and visitors, is eight (8). Exceeding this occupancy limit without Host's prior written consent is prohibited. The Property is for residential use only, and Guest agrees not to use it for any commercial or unlawful purpose. No parties or events are permitted on the Property.
Parking
Garage access code and/or parking instructions will be provided to Guest prior to arrival. Guest may park in the garage and/or driveway during the Rental Term.
House Rules
Guest agrees to abide by the following rules during the stay:
- No smoking anywhere on the Property, including inside the Property or on its patios; Guest must leave the Property to smoke. A fine of $1,000 will be charged for any smoke odor detected inside the Property or for smoking paraphernalia found on the Property. Guest is responsible for any fees associated with future cancelled reservations resulting from lingering smoke odor.
- No pets allowed.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM pursuant to local ordinance. No talking or music is permitted on the patios during quiet hours.
- Garbage and recycling must be disposed of in the appropriate bins, which must remain on the outside of the Property along the side of the driveway. Bins are set out for City collection and returned by Host or Host's representative on the applicable collection schedule.
- Use of the Property and its amenities is at Guest's own risk.
Cancellation Policy
Host will refund Guest the nightly rental rate for the specific dates within the Rental Term that are successfully rebooked to another guest, at the applicable rebooked rate(s), not to exceed the amount originally paid by Guest for those dates. No refund is owed for dates that are not rebooked. If Guest cancels before entering or occupying the Property, Guest will be refunded the full cleaning fee. If Guest cancels after entering or occupying the Property for any period of time, Guest will not receive a refund of the cleaning fee.
Compliance with Local Law; Short-Term Rental Registration
Guest agrees to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances, including the San Diego Short-Term Rental Ordinance (San Diego Municipal Code Section 84.24). Guest acknowledges that Host is legally permitted to operate a short-term rental in San Diego and that the Property holds a valid Short-Term Rental Registration Number (STR-09905L). Reservations booked through this website are not transferable, and Guest may not sublet or assign a reservation. Guest agrees not to engage in illegal activity and to respect local noise ordinances and residential community standards.
Transient Occupancy Tax
Pursuant to City of San Diego regulations, a Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 12.75% is included in the total reservation price shown at checkout and will be remitted to the City of San Diego by Host.
Utilities and Services
Host provides water, electricity, gas, and internet service for use during the Rental Term. Guest is responsible for any damage to utilities or equipment resulting from misuse or from a failure to promptly report an issue to Host.
Insurance
Guest is strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance to cover potential losses or damage. Host's insurance does not cover Guest's personal belongings, and Host is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to Guest or Guest's visitors.
Indemnification and Liability
Guest agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Host from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from Guest's use of the Property during the Rental Term. Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the Property during the Rental Term.
Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee is due at the time of booking and covers basic cleaning of the Property after departure. Guest is responsible for leaving the Property in good condition, free from excessive trash, personal belongings, and damage.
Damages and Security Deposit
Guest is responsible for any damage to the Property caused by Guest or Guest's visitors. The security deposit may be applied toward repair of such damage; if damages exceed the deposit, Guest agrees to compensate Host for the additional cost. Any applicable security deposit will be refunded within fourteen (14) days after the end of the Rental Term, less deductions for damages, excessive cleaning, or unpaid balances.
Human Trafficking Awareness
California law requires that guests be informed about human trafficking awareness. If you observe or suspect human trafficking, please report it to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text HELP to 233733.
Access to Property
Host or Host's agents may enter the Property with reasonable notice for purposes including inspections, maintenance or repairs, and emergency situations. Except in emergencies, Host will provide at least 24 hours' notice before entry.
Registered Sex Offender Notice
Pursuant to Section 290.46 of the California Penal Code, information about specified registered sex offenders is made available to the public via an internet website maintained by the California Department of Justice at www.meganslaw.ca.gov. Depending on an offender's criminal history, this information may include either the address at which the offender resides or the community and ZIP code in which he or she resides.
Bedbugs and Pests
Host has inspected the Property and is unaware of any bedbugs or pests (collectively, "Pests"). Guest shall promptly advise Host of any pest control needs or any condition indicating a possible bedbug infestation (such as itchy welts on skin, bedbugs, brown or red blood spots, or brown or black excrement spots on bedding, furniture, or other items, or a sweet odor). Guest agrees to fully cooperate with Host's pest control efforts. If Host determines that a Pest infestation was caused by Guest, Host may, at its sole discretion, recover the cost of treatment and any related damage to the Property or its furnishings from Guest.
Governing Law and Attorney's Fees
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, including applicable local ordinances of the City of San Diego. In any action or legal proceeding for interpretation of, breach of, or enforcement of any part of these Terms, the prevailing party shall recover from the non-prevailing party all reasonable attorney's fees and costs, including expert witness fees, incurred.
Termination
Host reserves the right to terminate a reservation if Guest or Guest's visitors violate any of these Terms or applicable law. In such cases, Guest and Guest's visitors must vacate the Property immediately, without refund.
Entire Agreement; Modifications
These Terms, together with Guest's booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Guest and Host regarding the reservation and supersede all prior understandings related to it. Host may update these Terms from time to time; the version of these Terms in effect at the time a booking is completed governs that reservation. Any other modification to a confirmed reservation must be made in writing and agreed to by both parties.
Electronic Acceptance
By checking the "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" box at checkout and/or completing payment for a reservation, Guest affirmatively agrees to these Terms and Conditions and acknowledges that doing so creates a legally binding agreement between Guest and Host.
La Jolla Village Spanish Villa

Parking
Parking is available on the street. The Property's front driveway is original to the home and is steep and narrow; most sedans will scrape when entering or exiting. Guests with an SUV may attempt to use the driveway at their own risk and discretion.
House Rules
Guest agrees to abide by the following rules during the stay:
- No smoking anywhere on the Property, including inside the Property or on its patios; Guest must leave the Property to smoke. A fine of $1,000 will be charged for any smoke odor detected inside the Property or for smoking paraphernalia found on the Property. Guest is responsible for any fees associated with future cancelled reservations resulting from lingering smoke odor.

- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM pursuant to local ordinance. No hot tub use, talking, or music is permitted outside during quiet hours.
- Hot tub rules: Guest and Guest's visitors must rinse off all sunscreen, body oils, and lotion before entering the hot tub. No food, drinks, or glass is permitted in the hot tub. The hot tub may not be used between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, and children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the hot tub. The hot tub cover must remain closed at all times when the hot tub is not in use.
- Pool table rules: no food or drinks are permitted on the pool table, and the table must be covered at all times when not in use.
